I cried when I read this.
This email is sometimes a lot of links that were interesting to me. Other times, it’s a mixture of good writing and interesting ideas. This week, it’s the best thing I’ve read in a while.
Ann Patchett puts herself, her family, and a new friend into a really well-crafted story of the pandemic. Her thoughts about what it means to live and to die and to mourn it all happening are incredibly affecting. She’s showing us what it means to mourn. There are also psychadelic mushrooms, if that’s your thing.
This is a long story, and it’s well worth your time.
Tell me how the story ends.
